"You expected to be hanged?" suggested Jen. To my dying day I'll never forget that little house, away out on the hillside, he took me to in his shabby little car. "Yes, but on the charge of stealing the body only. I took it out after hearing the evidence of the tramp, Battersea." "Well; no, major. I presume it is in connection with the case." Judith flushed and tossed her mane with a gratified air. "Oh, they don't think much of me," she rejoined. "They make fun of me lots of times." "If you mean Dr. Etwald, he will have enough to do to look after himself. Well, Mrs. Dallas, as I have learned what I wished to know, I shall now take my leave.".
